Knicks fined $50Ok for banning Every day Information
The NBA fined the New York Knicks $50,000 on Monday for violating the league’s guidelines relating to equal entry for media by not giving the New York Every day Information entry to their post-draft information convention on Friday.
The remainder of the New York media was invited to the information convention to introduce draft picks RJ Barrett and Ignas Brazdeikis.
“The Knicks acknowledge that we didn’t adjust to the NBA’s media coverage and made an error in deciphering Friday’s announcement as an invite-only occasion,” the group mentioned in a press release. “As we do all year long, now we have and can proceed to offer entry to credentialed media as per the league’s coverage.”

It was not the primary time the Every day Information has been barred from a information convention. In December, after the newspaper ran the headline “Do It” on a narrative about Dolan probably promoting the group, Every day Information columnist Stefan Bondy was not allowed to attend a information convention with Knicks president Steve Mills.
When requested by the paper why Bondy was banned, a consultant for the group mentioned, “It was invitation solely. There may be nothing extra so as to add.”
